Configuring Intercom Viewers

  1. Navigate to Access application > Devices > Viewers > select an Intercom Viewer > Settings and configure its name for easy identification.
  2. Navigate to Access application > Interface Designer and add it as a doorbell call receiver for Reader Pro or Intercom

Common Use Scenario

In an apartment complex, Access Readers are installed outdoors at entry points, while Intercom Viewers are placed indoors for tenant access control.

  1. Visitor Access: A visitor rings a reader's doorbell to request entry.
  2. Tenant Response: The tenant uses the Intercom Viewer to see and communicate with the visitor via audio or live video.
  3. Remote Door Unlock: The tenant remotely unlocks the door, allowing the visitor to enter without direct interaction.

What is the recommended mounting position for the Intercom Viewer?
