Configuring Door Attendants in UniFi Access

Key Features
Door Attendants can perform the following actions for designated doors on their Access application and mobile app.
- Live View and Monitoring: Watch live camera feeds and review unlock event recordings.
- Door Control: Unlock/lock doors and monitor door status.
- Doorbell Notifications:
- Admin Mode: Enter Admin Mode on Intercoms and Pro Readers for enhanced control, such as activating/deactivating emergency mode.
Who Has Door Attendant Permissions?
- UniFi Owner (Auto-assigned for all locations by default)
- Super Admins
- Admins with Full Management or Door Attendant permissions for Access:
- New Admins: Navigate to Settings > Admins & Users > Admins > Create New Admin.
- Upgrade Existing Users: Navigate to Settings > Admins & Users > Users > select a user > Settings > Upgrade to Admin.
Adding Door Attendants to Access Control Hubs
For hubs paired with Intercoms or Pro Readers, Doorbell Call Receivers will automatically replace Door Attendants. For hubs paired with Protect cameras, G4 Doorbell Pro, or Access Readers without a built-in camera, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to Access application > Devices > Hubs > select a hub > Settings > Door Attendants.
- Click Select Door Attendants and add Door Attendants.
- Click Save.

How do I ensure I receive doorbell notifications on my PC or phone?

Ensure the UniFi Owner has enabled Remote Access in Settings > Control Plane > Console > Advanced.

How do I configure doorbell push notifications in the Identity Endpoint or Access Mobile App?
- For Identity Endpoint: Tap the Gear icon > Push Notifications > Doorbell Rings and tap the Doorbell icon to enable or disable notifications.
- For Access mobile app: (Requires 2.3.0 or later) Tap Dashboard > upper-right Doorbell icon > Push Notification Settings > Rings > Doorbell Rings and tap the Doorbell icon to enable or disable notifications.
Can I customize the doorbell notification sound?
Yes, you can. This feature is currently available only on Android version 2.5.0 or later.
- Navigate to your phone's Settings and find App Notifications.
- Tap Access and choose Sound to select a preferred sound.
