Checking in with the Self-Service Kiosk in UniFi Access

This guide is for visitors or guests who received a visitor invitation to access a site secured by UniFi Door Access. If you’re an admin trying to configure guest or visitor access, click here.

Requirements

  • You've received an email, SMS, or QR code with your visit details, including the visit time, person to visit, and door access credentials (e.g, QR code, PIN, or NFC card).

Note: If you have not received any visit details, please contact your primary point of contact at the location you'll be visiting.

Checking in at a Self-Service Kiosk

  1. Approach an iPad at your scheduled visit time.
  2. Open your invitation email and find the QR code.
  3. Hold your QR code in front of the camera and pause briefly as the system processes your code.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions, which may include:
    • Scanning your ID card
    • Taking a face photo
    • Waiting for admin approval
    • Printing your visitor badge
  5. Attach your visitor badge to your clothing and use the QR code on the badge to unlock doors during your visit.

FAQs

Can I check in at the self-service kiosk outside my scheduled time?

No. Access expires automatically after your scheduled visit time and is no longer available at the kiosk.
