Unlocking Doors with Mobile Unlock in UniFi Access

Mobile Unlock lets you unlock doors effortlessly simply with your phone or watch. This guide shows you how to use it. If you’re an admin setting up Mobile Unlock, click here.

Requirements

  • Identity Endpoint mobile app

Unlocking Doors with Mobile Button

  1. Approach a reader.
  2. Open your Identity Endpoint mobile app:
    • Android and iOS: Tap the Unlock button.
    • watchOS: Tap a door icon.
  3. Once recognized, the door will unlock.

Unlocking Doors with Mobile Tap

  1. Approach a reader.
  2. Tap your phone directly against the reader.
  3. Once recognized, the door will unlock.

Unlocking Doors Remotely

If your admin has enabled the remote unlock feature, you can still remotely unlock a door even when you are not physically at the door. 

  1. Open your Identity Endpoint mobile app.
  2. Tap Doors > … and tap the Unlock button on the right side of a door.

What should I do if I can't unlock doors with Mobile Unlock?

Try the troubleshooting steps below. If the issue persists, contact your admin for assistance.

  • Grant the Location and Bluetooth permissions to your Identity Endpoint for mobile.
  • Update to the latest Identity Endpoint iOS, Android, or watchOS version.
