Introducing UniFi Access Gate Hub

The Gate Hub (UA-Hub-Gate) enables secure access control for gates and pedestrian doors. It supports various gate and garage door types and features License Plate Recognition (LPR) for automated entry of authorized vehicles. This article introduces the Gate Hub. Support for Multiple Gate Types and One Pedestrian Side Door

The Gate Hub works with a wide range of gates and garage doors, including:

  • Sliding gates
  • Swinging gates (single and double leaf)
  • Barrier gates
  • Roll-up garage doors

It also provides secure access control for a pedestrian side door. Learn more

PoE Technology for Extended Connectivity

The Gate Hub features UACC-Extender-2Wire-PoE technology, offering:

  • PoE input support for power-efficient operation.
  • Long-distance Ethernet data transmission over existing twisted pair cables.
  • PoE++ adapter compatibility, allowing AC power transmission to the Gate Hub.

This means no new cabling is needed, making installation faster and more cost-effective.

Recommended Gate Selection & Auto-Timer Feature

For the best experience, choose a gate with a built-in auto-timer feature. This feature automatically opens the gate when the Gate Hub relay is triggered and closes it after a preset period.

  • When the auto-close timer is deactivated, the gate must be closed manually.
  • When the auto-close timer is activated, the gate closes automatically after the specified time.

Smart Vehicle Access with License Plate Recognition

When paired with UniFi Protect AI Cameras, the Gate Hub can control vehicle access using the License Plate Unlock feature. This allows automatic entry for authorized vehicles based on pre-approved license plates. Learn more

Ensure Safety with Entrapment Protection Devices

To comply with UL 325 safety standards and ensure proper License Plate Unlock functionality, the UL 325 terminals on the third-party gate operator control board must be connected to entrapment protection devices. Without correct installation, License Plate Unlock will not work. Learn more
