UniFi Access - Activate Emergency Lockdown or Evacuation

Emergency Lockdown Activation
- The location locks immediately and cannot be unlocked using any access methods until lockdown mode is deactivated.
- The G2 Reader Pro blinks red and displays "LOCKDOWN."
- The G2 Reader blinks red.
Emergency Evacuation Activation
- The location unlocks immediately.
- The G2 Reader Pro blinks green and displays "EVACUATION."
- The G2 Reader blinks green.
Important: Update your Access application and devices to the latest version for enhanced security.
Manually Activate Site-Level Emergency Mode
UniFi Access offers the following methods to activate emergency lockdown or evacuation for all locations at a site:
- Go to your Access application > Dashboard > Emergency Mode.
- Go to your Access application > Settings > General > Security > Emergency Mode.
- Go to your Access mobile app > Dashboard > Emergency Mode.
Notes:
- You can deactivate emergency mode anytime in the Access application or mobile app via the Dashboard, Settings, device details panel, or remote view page.
- Deactivating any location's emergency mode will also deactivate the site-level emergency mode.
Manually Activate Single-Location Lockdown or Leave the Location Unlocked
UniFi Access offers the following methods to activate lockdown mode for a single location or to leave the location unlocked. Available for Access Hub (UA-Hub) and Door Hub (UA-Hub-Door).
- Go to your Access application > Dashboard > hover your mouse over a location > Manage, and select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.
- Go to your Access application > Dashboard, click a location to access its live view, and select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.
- Go to your Access application > Devices > Hubs, select a hub, and select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.
- Go to your Access mobile app > Devices > Hubs, select a hub, and select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.
Automatically Activate Emergency Mode Based on Pre-Configured Setting
Connect a fire panel to your Access Control Hub for automatic and pre-configured emergency mode activation when the fire panel sends a signal.
Note: Access Hub (UA-Hub) currently does not support pre-configured emergency mode.
- Go to your Access application > Devices > Hubs.
- Select a hub and go to Settings > Terminal > Terminal Manager.
- Go to Emergency > Emergency Mode and select Lockdown or Evacuation.
- Tick the Activate This Mode for All Locations at This Site checkbox as needed. This allows all locations of all hubs in the UniFi Access system to enter emergency mode simultaneously.
