UniFi 6 Access Point Professional (U6 Pro) Advisory

A limited batch of U6 Pros manufactured between June and August 2022 are incompatible with Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) Ethernet cables. Use of these cables may lead to your AP experiencing consistent rebooting or inability to power on. Please note that STP cables are typically reserved for premium outdoor installations and the more popular Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Ethernet cables remain fully supported. If you are unsure, we recommend using our UI Patch Cables, or our UI Indoor Cables.

Your UniFi Network application will notify you if this applies to any of your U6 Pros. If you were directed here from the UniFi Network application and your U6 Pro is currently running, there are no issues with your installation.

The issue has since been resolved in manufacturing and all UI Store inventory has been qualified to work with both UTP and STP ethernet installations.
