Dedicated Management Ports with UniFi OS Consoles

ENVR Core, EF Core, and Cloud Key Enterprise are equipped with GbE management ports for easier out-of-band management and system monitoring. However, these consoles use two different types of out-of-band management.

EF Core

EF Core features a management port on the back, which can be configured for a separate management VLAN. This, along with certain Enterprise switches, is intended to support a separately cabled management network for higher security environments. This interface can be set to a static or DHCP IP address.

ENVR Core and Cloud Key Enterprise

ENVR Core and Cloud Key Enterprise have a separate GbE management port on the back for connecting to an onboard management interface, wholly separate from UniFi OS. UniFi OS applications cannot be accessed from it, but UniFi Support may request connecting to it for advanced diagnostics. This management interface will pull DHCP by default.
