UniFi Storage Requirements and Compatibility

Hard disks (HDD) enable the storage of recordings from Protect and Access, voicemails from Talk, and files for UniFi Drive. The table below provides recommended specifications for various storage options.

3.5" HDD Standard Rack-Mounted Consoles (e.g. UNVR-Pro, UNAS-Pro, UDM-Pro) Official UniFi HDD: 8/16/24TB 1TB or larger CMR drive with 7200RPM read/write speeds for large-scale surveillance applications, or 5400RPM for small-scale applications.
2.5" HDD CloudKey+ Included SSD Minimum 1TB SATA SSD requiring no more than 5V power
MicroSD Dream Router, Dream Wall - Minimum capacity of 128GB
NVMe SSD UCG-Max Included Requires the M.2 SSD tray. Although compatible with all SSDs, performance will be limited to PCIe Gen3 x2 lanes.
