Overview
Readers will learn how to use the Port Remapping feature on the feature on the UDM-Pro and USG models.
- Applicable to the latest firmware on the UDM-Pro and USG models.
- The UniFi Dream Machine (UDM) base model only has a single WAN uplink port and does not support Port Remapping.

Introduction
The Port Remapping feature on the UDM-Pro and USG models allows administrators to re-assign different WAN and LAN networks to the interfaces. For example on the UDM-Pro, the Port Remapping feature can be used to configure which of the two WAN ports (RJ45 or SFP+) is WAN1 and which port is WAN2.
Refer to the table below for the supported port configurations on the UDM-Pro and USG models:
Device |

Supported Port Configurations |
UDM-Pro | 11 |

USG-Pro | 4 |

USG | 3 |

Remapping the WAN and LAN Ports
The diagram below shows an example setup where the UDM-Pro is connected to two different ISPs using the RJ45 and the SFP+ WAN interfaces.
The Port Remapping feature is used to configure which of the ISP uplinks is WAN1 and which is WAN2. When using Failover Load Balancing on the UDM-Pro, the WAN2 network will be the failover connection.
Follow the steps below to configure the Port Remapping feature on the UDM-Pro and USG models:
1. Navigate to the Devices > UDM > Ports > WAN > Configure Interfaces section to assign the WAN networks to the ports.
2. If the WAN network is not listed, then create it first in the Settings > Internet > WAN Networks section.

3. To switch the WAN Networks, first change the Port WAN1 Network from WAN to Disabled, then change the Port WAN2 Network from WAN2 to WAN.
4. Finally, change the Port WAN1 Network from Disabled to WAN2 and apply the changes.
5. Navigate to the Devices > UDM > Details section to verify that both WAN interfaces are up and have an IP address assigned.
1. Navigate to the Devices > USG > Ports > WAN > Configure Interfaces section to assign the WAN and LAN networks to the ports.
2. If the WAN and LAN networks are not listed, then create it first in the Settings > Internet > WAN Networks and
Settings > Networks > Local Networks > LAN sections.

3. To switch the WAN and LAN Networks, first change the Port Network to Disabled or another value. The network is then free to be remapped to a different port.
4. Apply the changes.
5. Navigate to the Devices > USG > Details section to verify that the WAN and LAN interface(s) are up and have an IP address assigned.
