UISP Fiber - ONU Router Mode Port Forwarding

 

Readers will learn how to configure Port Forwarding when using the ONU Router mode feature for UFiber ONUs.

NOTES & REQUIREMENTS:
Applicable to the v4.0.0+ UFiber firmware on the UFiber OLT on ONU models. The Port Forwading feature is available starting from OLT firmware v1.2.1 and ONU firmware v2.1.1. Please see the Related Articles below for more information.

The HTTPS traffic with port 10443 from external clients will be forwarded to the web server at 192.168.1.10.

The default ONU mode is Bridged mode. In order to use the Port Forwarding feature, the ONU must be configured to use Router mode. The ONU Router Mode article has more information on this feature. Follow the steps below to configure the Router mode and Port Forwarding rules:

GUI: Access the UF-OLT Web UI.

1. Navigate to the ONU list  onu-list.png  tab and select one of the connected ONUs.

2. Select the CONFIGURE button to modify the ONU settings.

Admin password: <secret>
Mode: Router

3. Select the Firewall tab to add the Port Forwarding rules.

ONU configuration > Firewall > Port forwarding > Add rule...

Enable: Checked
WAN Port: 10443
Protocol: TCP
LAN address: 192.168.1.10
LAN port: 443
Comment: webserver 

4. Apply the changes by clicking on the SAVE button.
