UniFi Access - Mobile Unlock Configuration

Mobile Unlock uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to let users unlock doors effortlessly with their phone or watch. It includes two convenient features:

  • Mobile Button: Unlock doors by tapping a button on Identity Endpoint for mobile.
  • Mobile Tap: Unlock doors by tapping a phone directly against a reader.

Requirements

  • UniFi OS 4.1 or later
  • Access application 2.5.2 or later
  • User's Identity Endpoint for mobile

Configuring Mobile Unlock 

  1. Update UniFi by navigating to UniFi OS > Settings > Control Plane > Updates.
  2. Enable Identity Endpoint by following the steps here. Ensure to include Smart Door Access in the enabled services.
  3. Proceed to the Assign Permissions to Users section of the article above to onboard users to Identity Endpoint.
  4. Users will receive an onboarding email or link. Once onboarded, they can unlock doors from their Identity Endpoint for mobile. For more information, see our detailed Mobile Unlock User's Guide.
