UniFi Local Management
UniFi Local Management is essential for instances when users experience an Internet outage and need to manage their deployment locally or for customers who kbdfer a fully airgapped setup without any cloud management. For users interested in remote management features, click here.
Connecting to UniFi Locally
UniFi Local Management requires you to be connected to the local network where UniFi is running. You can connect using a web browser or the UniFi mobile app. If you’ve already configured Remote Management, you can use the same UI Account to sign in locally.
Web
- Open your web browser and enter the IP address associated with your UniFi control plane (Cloud Gateway, CloudKey, Network Server, or NVR).
- If you have a UniFi Gateway on your network, type in unifi/.
- Enter your login credentials.
- For local-only deployments, the default username is admin.
Mobile
- Download the UniFi Mobile App (iOS / Android).

Connect to Your UniFi Instance:
- From the app’s list of locally detected UniFi instances, select your device.
- If your device is not listed, tap Can't Find Your Device > Console Manual Setup, and enter the required information.
- Note: Self-hosted Network Servers use port 8443, while other devices use port 443.

Log In: Enter your credentials.
- For local-only deployments, the default username is admin.
Can’t Find UniFi’s IP Address?
