  • For iPhone: Tap the NFC sensor on your iPhone to a G3 Reader.
  • For Apple Watch: Tap the Apple Watch worn on your wrist to a G3 Reader. The Watch screen must be unlocked.

Apple Express Mode is enabled by default, letting you unlock doors with Touch Pass without unlocking your iPhone or Apple Watch. If disabled in your Wallet or Watch app, you'll need to unlock it with Face ID or a passcode. See here to learn more about Apple Express Mode.

Migrating Your Touch Pass to a New Device

A Touch Pass can be added to one iPhone and one Apple Watch. If you upgrade to a new device or lose your current one, you can transfer your Touch Pass to the new device, as long as it's signed in with the same iCloud account.

  1. Ask your admin to unbind your Touch Pass from your old device in the Access application.
  2. On your new device, sign in to your Identity Endpoint account.
  3. Add Touch Pass to your Apple Wallet.
