Using the UniFi Talk Softphone
The UniFi Talk Softphone is available within the license-free UniFi Identity mobile app, and allows users to make calls on the go using their cellphone or other mobile device.
Requirements
- UniFi Talk Application version 3.1.8 or later
- At least one UniFi Talk Pro Plan subscription
- UniFi Identity Endpoint enabled
If UniFi Identity Endpoint isn’t set up yet, refer to our UniFi Identity Admin Guide.
Provisioning a UniFi Talk Softphone
- Go to Settings > Admins & Users > Identity Endpoint and check the Talk Softphone Service.
- Navigate to the Admins & Users > Users tab and select a user to assign a softphone to. If UniFi Identity Endpoint isn’t set up yet, refer to our UniFi Identity Admin Guide.
- Open the Settings tab in the user’s side panel, enable Softphone and Apply Changes. If Talk is not enabled in the user’s settings yet, do so to expose the Softphone option.
- Open the Overview tab in the user’s side panel and click Invite Again.
- Using the UniFi Identity app, users can load their credentials with the link provided, and start using the Talk Softphone.
