Understanding UniFi Access Device LED Status Indicators
UniFi Access devices use distinct LED color patterns to indicate their status, making it easy to diagnose connectivity, power, and operational states at a glance. Access Control Hubs
PoE Out: Blinking White
Link/activity.
Input Terminals: Blinking White
Input terminal triggering (e.g., triggered by a motion sensor, push-to-exit-button, or door position sensor).
Input Terminals: Steady White
Wire connected.
Output Relay Terminals: Blinking White
Output relay terminal triggering activity (e.g., unlocking a lock or triggering a door operator, siren, or chime).
Output Relay Terminals: Steady White
Wire connected.
Access Enterprise Hub (EAH-8)
Ethernet: Blinking White
Link/activity.
Input Terminals: Steady White
Wire connected.
Output Relay Terminals: Steady White
Wire connected.
Access Readers
Strobing Red/Off
The reader is in Emergency Lockdown mode.
Steady Green
The reader is in Emergency Evacuation mode.
Rapid Flashing Blue Twice
Access granted.
Rapid Flashing Red Twice
Access denied.
Breathing Blue
The reader is ready to register NFC credentials.
Steady Amber (G3 Reader Pro and G2 Reader Pro Only)
The G3 Reader Pro (UA-G3-Pro) or G2 Reader Pro (UA-G2-Pro) temperature is above/below the display operation temperature: -10 to 45° C (14 to 113° F). The display is turned off, but other functions remain functional.
Intercom (UA-Intercom)
Snowflake Light: Steady Amber
The Intercom temperature is above/below the display operation temperature: -25 to 60° C (-13 to 140° F). The display is turned off, but other functions remain functional.
Magnetic Locks
Steady Red
The Magnetic Lock (UA-Lock-Magnetic-270kg or UA-Lock-Magnetic-540kg) is powered and locked.
Steady Green
The Magnetic Lock is powered but unlocked. Ensure the lock and metal plate are properly aligned to prevent misalignment.
