UID Enterprise - Unlock Doors Using UID Enterprise Mobile App
Requirements
- Your workspace admins have assigned door access policies to you.
- You have activated your UID Enterprise account.
- Your iOS, watch OS, or Android have met the following requirements:
- iOS 15.0 or later
- Android 6.0 or later
- watchOS 9.0 or later (Requires UID Enterprise iOS app 0.72.1 or later.)
- You have downloaded and signed in to the UID Enterprise mobile app (iOS or Android).
- You have granted the required permissions to your UID Enterprise mobile app.

Grant Your UID Enterprise Mobile App Permissions
iOS
- Sign in to your UID Enterprise mobile app.
- Tap your profile picture > Mobile Unlock.
- Tap Allow in the Bluetooth field to enable it.
- Tap Allow in the Location field or go to your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services to grant Location permission.
- Always: Allow the UID Enterprise mobile app to access your location even when the app is in the background. When selected, you can unlock a door using the Mobile Tap without opening your UID Enterprise app.
- While Using the App: You must open your UID Enterprise mobile app to unlock doors.
- Never: Prevent the UID Enterprise mobile app from accessing your location services information. When selected, you cannot use your UID Enterprise app to unlock doors.
- Ask Next Time Or When I Share: You can choose Always While Using App, Allow Once, or Don't Allow.
- See Turn Location Services and GPS on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in Apple's support center for details.
- Enable Mobile Tap in Advanced Options.
- Drag to specify the maximum distance between your device and the reader when using Mobile Tap to unlock doors.
Android
- Sign in to your UID Enterprise mobile app.
- Tap your profile picture > Mobile Unlock.
- Tap Enable to grant Bluetooth and Location permissions.
- Tap Allow to grant precise location.
- Always Allow: Allow the UID Enterprise app to access your location even when the app is in the background. When selected, you can unlock a door using the Mobile Tap without opening your UID Enterprise app.
- Allow Only While in Use: You must open your UID Enterprise mobile app to unlock doors.
- Deny: Prevent the UID Enterprise app from accessing your location services information. When selected, you cannot use your UID Enterprise app to unlock doors.
- In the control panel of your mobile device, enable NFC to use Mobile Tap. If your mobile device has multiple NFC modes, please enable HCE Wallet mode. The methods to enable HCE Wallet vary on different mobile devices.
Pin Doors to the Top
You can arrange frequently accessed doors at the top of your door list for convenient access by following the steps below:
- Open your UID Enterprise app and go to Doors.
- Tap the Ellipsis icon and scroll down to a door that you want to send to the top.
- Slide to the left and tap the Pin icon.
