UniFi Access - Pair UniFi Protect Cameras and Chimes with Locations
Benefits
By pairing UniFi Protect cameras with your locations:
- The paired UA-G2-Pro, UA-Pro, and UniFi Protect cameras will automatically record a short video when someone unlocks the location. Ensure the Door Unlock Recordings option has already been enabled.
- Admins can monitor locations remotely in real-time using the UniFi Access application or mobile app.
- Admins can view the unlock video in system logs.
By pairing UniFi chimes with your locations:
- The paired chimes will ring when someone presses the doorbell. Currently, ringing the doorbell on the G4 or G4-Pro-Doorbell will not send notifications to the Access application.
- Wire a third-party chime to your Access Control Hub if you want it to ring when someone calls from your UA-G2-Pro, UA-Pro, or presses the doorbell push button.
When a camera or chime is paired with multiple doors simultaneously:
- The camera will record a video when any of its paired locations is unlocked.
- The chime will ring when someone calls from any of its paired locations.
