UniFi Access - Pair UniFi Protect Cameras and Chimes with Locations

Benefits

By pairing UniFi Protect cameras with your locations:

  • The paired UA-G2-Pro, UA-Pro, and UniFi Protect cameras will automatically record a short video when someone unlocks the location. Ensure the Door Unlock Recordings option has already been enabled.
  • Admins can monitor locations remotely in real-time using the UniFi Access application or mobile app.
  • Admins can view the unlock video in system logs.

By pairing UniFi chimes with your locations:

When a camera or chime is paired with multiple doors simultaneously:

  • The camera will record a video when any of its paired locations is unlocked.
  • The chime will ring when someone calls from any of its paired locations.

Requirements

  • UniFi Access application: 1.20.13 or later
  • UniFi Protect application: 2.9.0 or later
  • UniFi OS: 3.1.13 or later
  • UniFi Access and UniFi Protect devices must be adopted on the same console
  • Identity Enterprise Agent: 1.55.22 or later (if UniFi Identity Enterprise is activated)

Pair UniFi Protect Cameras with Locations

  1. Go to your Protect application > UniFi Devices to adopt the devices.
  2. Go to your Access application > Devices > Hubs > select a hub > Overview > Manage Paired Devices.
  3. Select the cameras to pair and click Save.

Pair UniFi Chimes with Locations

  1. Go to your Protect application > UniFi Devices to adopt the devices.
  2. Go to your Access application > Caller Manager, hover your mouse over an Intercom or Access Reader, and click Add Receivers or Manage Receivers as prompted.
  3. Add the chimes and click Add or Save as prompted.Intercom_Directpry_Receiver.png

View Unlock Recordings

Do either of the following:

  • Go to your Access application > System Log > Unlocks, and hover your mouse over the Play icon.

  • Go to your Protect application > Detections > Door Access, and click a video.

Monitor Locations with Paired Cameras

  1. After a camera is paired, go to your Access application > Dashboard and click a location to view its live view.
