UID Enterprise - Integration with Slack
UID Enterprise supports integration with Slack, allowing it to send notifications to Slack channels or the UID App installed in Slack. In case any issues arise, please contact uid.support@ui.com.
Requirements
You must be the owner or admin of your Slack workspace.
Authorize Connection Between UID Enterprise and Slack
When the connection between UID Enterprise and Slack is authorized, your users can start receiving UID Enterprise notifications in their Slack Workspace > App > UID.
- Go to your UID Enterprise Manager > Lab > Integration > Third-Party App > Slack.
- Click Connect > Continue. A window indicating that “UniFi Identity (UID) is requesting permission to access your Slack workspace” will prompt.
- Click Allow.
- Configure your Slack settings.
- Hide sensitive information: When enabled, users’ Identity Enterprise email addresses will only be partially displayed.
- User Mention Format: Decide to either display your users’ Slack display names or UID Enterprise email addresses when they are mentioned in the Slack notifications sent by UID Enterprise.

Here are examples of username display formats.
- Display Slack Display Name: @John.Smith has remotely unlocked the Main Door in New York.
- Display UID Enterprise Email Address: John.Smith (john.smith@ui.com) has remotely unlocked the Main Door in New York.
- Display UID Enterprise Email with Sensitive Information Hidden: John.Smith (john******@ui.com) has remotely unlocked the Main Door in New York.
Notes:
- Users can receive notifications related to them only if the email addresses of their UID Enterprise account and Slack account match.
- Users can manage their notification preferences in their UID Enterprise Workspace > click profile picture > Manage Your Account > Notification Subscription.
