UniFi Identity Enterprise - Layout

1. Open your Identity Enterprise mobile app.
2. Tap the Manage icon and select a site
3. Create floor layout:
   1. Go to Layout and tap the + icon.
   2. Specify the floor name (e.g., 1F) and tap Add.
4. Add rooms:
   1. Tap the floor to add a room.
   2. Specify the room name (e.g., Meeting Room) and tap Next.
5. Scan corners:
   1. Scan the ground near your feet until a blue line appears on your mobile device’s screen.
   2. Move your mobile device to the nearest corner of the room.
   3. Keep the blue line parallel to the ground, align the white point with a corner, and tap Add Corner.
   4. Scan the ground along the wall to map the entire room.
6. Add doors:
   1. Tap Add Door.
   2. Confirm door placement by moving your device along the door width.
   3. Tap Confirm Adding Door.
7. Continue adding corners and doors until the room is fully scanned.
8. Tap Done to finish or Detect Devices to add devices to your room.
   1. Aim your mobile device’s camera at a UnFi device until an AR image of the detected device appears on the map.
   2. Repeat this for all the devices in the room.
   3. You can also add virtual devices to the room or bind doors configured in your door access service to the doors in the layout. See Manage Your Layout below for details.

Identity Enterprise Mobile App

1. Open your Identity Enterprise mobile app.
2. Tap the Manage icon and select a site in the left upper corner.

3. Tap Layout and select a floor. If no floor or room exists, see Create a Floor and Map a Room above for details.
4. Edit any of the following room settings.

• • Add and Edit a Device: The Identity Enterprise mobile app does not support adding desks and users to the layout. You can do so in Identity Enterprise Manager. 
    1. 1. Do either of the following:
          • Double-tap a room.
          • Select a room and tap Enter.
       2. Edit any of the following device settings:
          • Add a UniFi device.
            1. Tap Add Devices.
            2. Select a device.
               • Adopted: All UniFi devices adopted on this site will be displayed.
               • Virtual: If no devices are adopted on this site or if you prefer to create your room layout before physically wiring devices, you can add virtual devices to your room. These virtual devices can then be bound to the corresponding adopted devices once you've completed the adoption process.
            3. Drag and drop the device to adjust its position.
          • Bind an adopted device/door to a virtual device/door.
            1. Tap a virtual device/door.
            2. Tap Bind.
            3. Select an adopted device from the list, if available.
          • Delete a device.
            1. Tap a device.
            2. Tap Delete.
          • Tap Undo to undo or edit a step.
       3. Tap Save.
  • Modify a Room’s Position: Drag and drop a room to adjust its position. If you're unable to move a room, ensure you've left the room editing mode. If not, simply tap Exit Room in the upper-left corner of your mobile device.
  • Modify a Room’s Orientation: Tap a room and press and move the blue bidirectional arrow to rotate the room.
  • Modify a Room’s Shape:
    
    1. Double-tap a room, or select a room and tap Enter.
    2. Drag and drop a corner or a wall to adjust its position. The selected wall or corner will be highlighted in blue.
  • Add a Corner
    1. Double-tap a room, or select a room and tap Enter.
    2. Tap a wall and select Add Corner.
    3. Drag and drop the corner to adjust its position.
  • Delete a Room: Tap a room > Delete.

UniFi Identity Enterprise Manager

1. Sign in to your Identity Enterprise Manager (https://[your workspace domain].ui.com/cloud).
2. Go to Lab > Layout.
3. Select a site and a floor and you will see the floor’s layout.
4. Perform the following actions based on your tasks:
   • Change a Room’s Shape
     1. Double-click a room.
     2. Drag and drop the blue line to change the room’s shape.
     3. Click the Undo icon to undo a or click the Redo icon to redo.
     4. Click any blank place on the screen to quit the editing mode.
   • Edit a Room or Desk

     1. Click a room or desk.

     2. Use the tool in the screenshot shown below to edit the room.

     3. Click any blank place on the screen to quit the editing mode.

• • Add an Element or User to Your Layout: You can add physical and virtual UniFi devices, doors, desks, or users to your layout.
    1. Click the "+" icon.
    2. Select and drop an element or user in the desired place.
    3. Drag and drop to adjust its position.
    4. To bind an adopted device/door to a virtual device/door, hover your mouse over a virtual device/door in a room, and click Bind to Existing Device/Door.
