Important: For enhanced security, we highly recommend you upgrade your Access application and Access devices to the latest version.

Manually Activate Site-Level Emergency Mode

  • Go to Access application > Dashboard > Emergency Mode.
  • Go to Access application > Settings > General > Security > Emergency Mode.
  • Go to Access mobile app > Dashboard > Emergency Mode.

Notes:

  • You can deactivate emergency mode anytime in Access application or mobile app’s Dashboard, Settings, device detail panel, and remote view page.
  • If the site-level emergency mode is activated, then deactivating any door’s emergency mode will also deactivate the emergency mode of all doors at this site.

Manually Activate a Single Door’s Emergency Mode

UniFi Access offers the following methods to activate emergency mode for a single door connected to Access Hub (UA-Hub) and Access Door Hub (UA-Hub-Door):

  • Go to Access application > Dashboard > hover over a door > click the Manage icon > select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.
  • Go to Access application > Dashboard > click a door to access its live view and select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.
  • Go to Access application > Devices > Hubs > select a Hub > select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.
  • Go to Access mobile app > Devices > Hubs > select a Hub > select Leave Unlocked or Lockdown from the dropdown menu.

Automatically Activate Emergency Mode

By connecting a fire panel to your Access Control Hub, your doors can automatically enter the pre-configured emergency mode when the fire panel sends an emergency signal to your Access Control Hub.

Note: Access Hub (UA-Hub) currently does not support pre-configured emergency mode.

To set pre-configured emergency mode:

  1. Go to your Access application > Devices > Hubs.
  2. Select a Hub and go to Overview > Terminal Manager > Terminals.
  3. Select Emergency in the terminal diagram and go to Emergency Mode.
  4. Select Lockdown or Evacuation.
  5. Enable Activate Lockdown/Evacuation Mode for All Doors at This Site. When enabled, all doors at your current site will enter the pre-configured emergency mode, if the Access Control Hub receives an emergency signal.
