UniFi Gateway - IGMP Proxy (IPTV)

The IGMP Proxy feature allows you to forward IPTV multicast traffic from your ISP on the WAN to one or more devices on the LAN. This feature is useful when the ISP modem/router has been replaced by the UniFi Gateway, but there is an IPTV box on the LAN that still needs to communicate with the ISP.

Requirements

How Does it Work?

From Settings, Internet, enable the IGMP Proxy feature on the desired WAN and specify the Viewing Network(s).

  • Viewing Network - The virtual network that contains the IPTV box that receives the traffic.

In Settings, Networks:

  • IGMP Snooping - On and enabled for the VLAN on which the IPTV box is connected.
  • Querier Selection - Primary/Failover
  • Forward Unregistered Multicast Traffic - Multicast Router Port
  • Flood Known Protocols - Enabled
  • Fast Leave - Disabled
