How to Enable / Disable Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) keeps your Ubiquiti account safe. We offer authentication through apps and email, as well as backup recovery codes.
Note: We cannot reset MFA for you, so make sure to have backup methods in place.
Why Use MFA?
MFA adds an extra layer of protection beyond passwords in order to prevent unauthorized access to your account and ultimately safeguard your sensitive data.
Setting Up MFA
Sign in to account.ui.com.
- Go to your My Security section.
Choose your desired MFA Option. We recommend using the UI Verify app (iOS / Android) for seamless single-click authentication to your mobile device.
Note: We automatically enable email authentication to prevent accidental lockout which may result if you lose the device associated with your selected authentication method.
- Access your account security settings by logging into account.ui.com and going to My Security.
- Unlock your Security settings and then click Disable in the MFA section.
Accessing a Locked Out Account
To preserve your account's security, we cannot reset your multi-factor authentication. If you have lost access to all authentication methods, you will need to create a new account.
